Excerpts from: A Charmed Journey: An Inspired Guide to Personal Transformation“

I didn’t grow up as a bible thumper, but I did grow up Catholic, going to church school on Wednesday’s and mass on Sundays. My mother would come into my room, bright and early Sunday mornings, get me out of bed and help me get ready. I would moan and groan about having to go, sometimes threatening to wear my pajamas; but my mom didn’t care. Her response was: “God doesn’t care what you look like, just as long as you show up.”

The Message:

As I was sitting behind a couple of women at church, I was admiring the holiday decor and noticed the beautiful angel glorifying the top of the Christmas tree.  Feeling a bit taken back by the essence of merriment that filled the air, a slew of emotions began to satiate my mind as I thought, “I wish my mom were here. She would really love it.”

Within seconds, the woman in front of me stood up and began taking off her coat. She leaned towards her friend and says, “Sometimes it’s more important to just BE HERE. I thought about wearing my pajamas this morning.” (chuckle chuckle)

Overhearing this comment made me laugh because it reminded me of what I used to say to my mother when I was 8 years old– especially when I was busy hiding under the warm covers and adamant about defying her instructions. .

This particular conversation between two people whom I didn’t know, not only put a gigantic smile on my face, but also served as spiritual messengers in reminding me that love never dies—it only transforms.  And although our loved ones (two-legged and/or four) are no longer at our side, their spirit is eternal–and often enhanced with a sense of humor.

So as you move throughout your daily life…..

Remember…..

The holiday season has the tendency to stir up emotions such as grief, loneliness, and sadness stemming from a devastating loss. Be with it. Cry. Be upset. Allow yourself to experience the emotion that desires to be expressed.  This is the path to healing.  Situations present “itself” so you can heal yourself–and to give YOU the gift and opportunity to choose Grace. 

When using your “eyes to see and ears to hear,” the sacred signs of hope are omnipresent and represented in an array of forms: physical and non-physical, human and non-human. And if you shall wonder if your life is being held in the arms of Unconditional Love; stop what you’re doing, close your eyes and breathe deeply. For it is within the silence of the mind that eternal wisdom and guidance will reveal itself to you, and your path becomes clear as the warmth of Goodness fills your heart with JOY.

Because of my personal experiences and studying the mind-body-spirit connection for over 16 years, I know the havoc that emotions can cause when left unattended and suppressed. An unhealthy state- of- mind can effect EVERYTHING; and this “energy” has the ability to inhibit external “success” from fully manifesting in the physical form.

The nature of my life’s “work” that I’m honored to continuously share astounds me. As I meet with clients for a myriad of reasons, it’s clear to me that life, in general, is an on-going healing process of forgiveness, acceptance and unconditional love for ourselves, and others. It’s even more fascinating how each individual soul seeks various outlets to realize it’s greatest expression of Self; as well as guide the heart into a deeper awakening through experiencing physical challenges.

**Chris (name change) come into my office because he was feeling “stuck” in his career. He’d been waiting for months to receive a call-back from this potential job offer, but to no avail. He felt he’d done everything in his power (or so he thought) to get this position, and now, Chris was running out of hope and asked my opinion about pursuing his endeavors.

During our conversation, he was explaining to me all the reasons “why” he wasn’t getting this opportunity. I agreed, but intuitively knew his theory was lacking substance and unfortunately wasn’t going to provide the results he desired. After listening to him talk, I was then inspired to offer spiritual direction on how to help him spark the internal energy necessary to create new beginnings.

I told him to consider forgiving his previous boss. And although he felt justifiable logic for being angry because of her thoughtless behaviors, the burden of carrying this emotional upset was draining his authentic power and jading his future. He tried his best to avoid this inevitable truth. But as soon as I saw his eyes swell with tears, I knew this was his next step to gain emotional freedom that cultivates outer success.

Before he left my office that day, I gave him a few “thoughts to ponder,” and he agreed to immediately put forth the effort into healing. (He really wanted the job!) And as he was exiting the door, I felt compelled to say, “Forgiveness is key…but your WILLINGNESS towards forgiveness is truly the most important piece of the puzzle. God can work miracles when there is an opening within the heart.”

Four days later he sent me a message..He got the job!

The Power behind forgiveness….Cool, huh!!?!

What you believe is to be the truth about yourself (and life in general) the external world will magnify your ideals and attract to you your belief system.  Therefore;  if you desire to transform your life then it’s essential to “dig deep” into your heart of heart’s and from the core of your being, graciously begin to uncover the sabotaging thoughts and behaviors that may be impeding a vibrant future. Without a doubt, the emotional baggage you’ve harbored for years has a way of rising to the surface when you least expect it and before you know it, you’ve manifested your “new” reality. But this is the moment your soul has been waiting for! This is the time for transformation and a pivotal point in your life to heal from within!! You are standing on the precipice of change and are being called to transpose the inner chaos into a powerful beacon of light. You are a spiritual being having a human experience and your mission is to love and accept ALL OF YOU —excluding NO THING.

There is a fine art to mastering yourself—and no one ever said this transformational process would be easy. You’ll have to desire change through pulling yourself up by the boot straps and move forward with integrity, compassion and gratitude for all that you’ve encountered.  The negative, critical mind chatter will have to cease and from this point, you’ll slowly begin embracing the path of healing your life.

So when you are ready to climb into your “nicely-packed” emotional closet and set yourself free from perpetual judgments and self-limiting beliefs— you’ll be well on your way to knowing happiness and inner peace.  As the Universal Law states, “As within, so without.”

Understand this: The energy that emanates from your heart creates a ripple effect and impacts those around you. When you “lighten the load” of emotional heartache and start to notice how miracles appear to help you heal your soul, you’ll be well on your way to owning your personal Power and creating a life that you Love!

 Last week,  I said, “God, I need a miracle. I desire to take my business to the next level and sell more books. What do I need to do?”  And this was the reply:

 Message #1

”If you choose NOT to “see” the miracle in everything and everyone, YOU are missing the point.  Miracles and blessings are everywhere! If your ego needs to “see” a miracle, go outside and LOOK at a tree.  Notice it’s magnificence. Imagine how many storms it had to weather in order to become the structure that it is today.  Become aware. Look into the eyes of child or animal and feel their innocence.  Take a moment–feel your own heartbeat. That’s a miracle!”

 Message #2

Get over yourself.  Become miracle minded. Instead of asking for a miracle, BE A MIRACLE!  Everywhere you go, look for ways to BE a miracle in somebody’s  life.  Period.

 My mission:

I began to look for ways on how I could positively impact anything (a friend, neighbor, stranger, an animal, or the environment).  My goal was to serve, unconditionally–either through helping an entrepreneur promote their business, giving a compliment, a smile, holding a door, picking up litter, or simply by holding space for a complete stranger, without judgment or criticism,  being in a state of peace and expressing love.

 Guess what happened….

 On Thursday, my book hit the best-sellers list on Amazon.  Sure, that was really exciting and I’m eternally grateful.  But, in all honesty, the best part of this exercise wasn’t about me or my book.  It was about the joy I felt in my heart when I was on a mission to BE A MIRACLE for somebody else!  It was so much fun!!!

 Starting today, I challenge you to BE miracle minded.  Be the miracle you are seeking in your own life!  Start small.  Do it for one-day, a week or a month.  Journal about your experiences.  Notice how your outside world begins to change with a slight shift in your consciousness.
