I forgot about this testimony until I saw it this morning on my fb feed…

It brought tears to my eyes. 

Happy tears, that is. 

A Charmed Journey …

My journey. My life. My memoir. 

And how it all began..

{It took blood, sweat and tears to be able to authentically write this book..(and the Trigger book!)}

Anyway …

After I was worn out from being worn out ..

and sick and tired of being sick and tired …

I needed to transform my life from the inside out. 

And as I was headed down to city park to live with the homeless people to find my meaning of happiness. 

God intervened.  He had other plans for my life and I was willing to change. 

Minutes prior to arriving at the park….

The Holy Spirit took over my steering wheel and LITERALLY drove me to a safe place to begin my life again …

 Seriously. 

Oh yes. God knows how to drive. 

Long story short ..

I found myself in a twin bed starring up at the popcorn ceiling and praying. 

I specifically said, “God I will do whatever it takes to change my life. Tell me what to do.” 

And He did. 

God gave me these instructions: 

1. Take TOTAL responsibility for your life. 
2. Understand your “role” and how you  contributed in each situation. 
3. Be GRATEFUL for everything in life. Everything! Especially the hard times recognizing what the life lessons taught you. 
4. WRITE A BOOK. 

I hesitated ….

but then said ok because I know better than to get into a wrestling match with God. 

He always wins. 

But I did make a request. 

I requested an endorsement from Dr Wayne Dyer.  I felt by having his name on my book would give me an ounce of credibility, as well as validate my intuition and knowing it was God’s voice that I was hearing. 

Now granted, I could have chosen NOT to follow the instructions , but I wasn’t willing to pay the consequences. 

I didn’t hear back from God right away about the endorsement …

Regardless, I continued to move forward with God’s instructions, trusting that He’d provide along the way. 

And He did. And way beyond my wildest imagination. 

Day and night I wrote this book. And most of the time I was sitting in coffee shops or under a tree because I was essentially “homeless.” 

Finally, A Charmed Journey was finished and had a hardcopy in my hands. I mailed a copy to Dr. Dyer asking for his endorsement. 

Well…wouldn’t you know it! 

Within 2 weeks, Wayne emailed me my endorsement and when he came to Denver for a conference I met him face to face and then I gave hm an energy healing session. 

I got his endorsement and He got a healing energy session from me. (Give and take) 

When I asked Dr. Dyer how he found MY book in the pile of thousands he said, “God told me to pick up your book. And then God told me to put my name on it. So, here you go. Now go set the world on fire.”

I laughed and we parted ways. 

So now that Trigger the Wonder Horse is out “there” with a whole other set of life lessons along the spiritual battle we encountered to be able to write and self-publish this book…

Setting the world on fire (in a Good way) sounds exciting. 

So my advice if you desire to transform your life from the inside out..

1. Follow God’s plan for your life. 

“Thy will be done”

2. Learn your life lessons. Patterns and sabotaging behaviors repeat themselves until you put a stop to the nonsense. 
3. Teachers are everywhere and in everything. And often in the form of the animal or possibly the next “homeless” person you meet. You never know who God is going to through in order to get YOUR attention. 
4. Make each day count. You’ve got one life to live. Make it a Good one.

I felt inspired to share a couple of stories with you tonight.

It’s been a week of spiritual surprises and here are a few highlights to brings a smile and Hope to your evening.

Story #1

A client (I’ll call her, Susan) I hadn’t seen in a few years came into my office today for an intuitive reading and cranial sacral session. She originally came to me after a car accident and needed “work” to re-balance her central nervous system.

When I saw her today I immediately gave her a big hug! She sat down and with tears in her eyes said, “you wouldn’t believe how I found your number.”

The other day I was praying about who I should talk to about my “challenges” and then I walked into a room and your business card was lying in the middle of the floor. So I took that as a sign I needed to come in ASAP.”

Susan had questions about her boyfriend, and their relationship and wanted guidance on how to break patterns she was noticing within herself.

And then the flood gates opened. Several of her loved ones, who have crossed over, had spiritual messages for her.

It began with her business partner/best friend. She unexpectedly passed away a few months ago and wanted to give Susan a specific message to remember the “why” when they began their business. She also relayed information about important paperwork and passwords.

And then, another friend who passed from pancreatic cancer had a message for her son that she wanted Susan to pass along to him.

Her dog, Gracie, (yes, animals speak) who is still alive and well but was not happy with her human mom! Susan moved her dog bed to the lower level and she was not happy about it. Gracie wanted to sit next to the front door! Animals are so funny!

And then sure enough, her dad came through like he did the last time. He passed away about 20 years ago. He mentioned “mom” and how he’s watching over their relationship with specifics about her health condition.

And finally, I reset Susan’s cranial sacral flow to rebalance the energy moving up and down her spine to get her back into the “flow” of life!

I love this “work!” It is so rewarding and I’m grateful that I get to make the connection of Love through spiritual messages and healing energy.

The power of Love is transformative. And remember, you are a powerful co-creator in how you shape your reality.

Story #2

So last Thursday I sat down and entered a few book contests but the technical difficulties were beyond challenging!

As you know, Trigger the Wonder Horse is a deeply, spiritual book and it took every ounce of energy to write and publish it.

Well after an exhausting 2 hours of navigating through glitches, the book was entered and I needed go for a walk to clear my head.

I began to pray and asked God to send me a sign to let me know I did the “right” thing, and preferably a sign that can’t be misinterpreted on any level.

It was mid-day and I was pretty much the only person on my walk except for a couple.

As I was about 1/2 through my walk, I looked ahead on the trail and noticed a white piece of paper lying in the middle of the sidewalk, with no body in sight.

My heart started to pound and I thought to myself, “is that for me?” I bent down to pick it up. I unfolded the piece of paper and it was a Bible verse that was handwritten by Shannon. ( I have no idea who Shannon is) But apparently God worked through Shannon that day to give me a message.

Sometimes life is stranger than fiction.

I wanted to share with you something Extra-ordinary that happened this morning.

As I was looking back through my facebook memories, I was thinking to myself that I wish I had a “new” picture of Trigger to share with the world.

And then …

about 20 minutes later….

a Good friend and one of Trigger’s vet assistants, Mariah, sent this photo to me.  She said, “ I don’t think I sent this one to you.”

Mariah had/has a knack for snapping/sending a picture of Trigger to me in the most Perfect moment.

I guess that’s why it’s called, “Divine timing.”

My heart skipped a beat when I was reminded how powerful our animals are, regardless if they are still on this earthly plane or not.

Their energy and love is ALWAYS with us.

Guiding and protecting our steps from afar.

Hello everyone,

Many blessings to you.

I hope this email finds you well and gives you a sense of hope after you read this short note.

I feel that now more than ever we need to be reminded that God is in control and our “job” as a spiritual being having a human experience is to balance our inner energy, align our vibration and focus on the Good.

So when you’re out and about in Mother Nature please take a moment to look up or look down, whatever you’re being “called” to do..

By taking the time to gaze into the clouds, the tress, the birds, and the flowers you will be reminded that God is everywhere and His gifts are abundant.

Inspired short stories 

Story #1

A few weeks ago I was in California teaching a spiritual workshop and as I was walking through a field of tall grasses I looked down and noticed a “nut.”

Now, I am NOT a nut expert or was standing underneath a “nut” tree and there weren’t any other nuts insight!!!!  ….(except for me, of course:)

Anyway…

I’m assuming this is a walnut but what I found interesting is the shell was cracked straight down the middle and when I picked it up and separated the pieces, I clearly saw two hearts.

I smiled and my first thought was, “Thanks God. I know we are all a little nuts.” And my second thought, “it’s through the process of healing and being united with our own heart and inner Spirit is when we feel the most Whole and complete.”

And the third thought, “The physical body. It’s about integrating the masculine and feminine “sides” during the transformation process.”

So from this point of receiving Intuitive messages all I could think about is God is everywhere, and watching.

Story #2

As I was walking through the yoga studio’s parking lot, lying next to my truck were two gold coins. No, they aren’t real. They actually look as if they’re from an arcade/game room but again, no arcade is in the vicinity.

Regardless I picked them up and put them in my pocket.

But when I got home I felt inspired to search the words “walnuts” and “gold coins,” separately, to see if there was any correlation in the Bible pertaining to these items.

The answer is yes and if you’re interested you can do your own research.

I don’t desire to push my belief system on anyone. I only share my experiences.

FYI …I’ve put the gold coins in a very safe place, just in case.

Story #3

Be on the lookout for…

Angels.  Yes, I said angels. Heaven is invading the earth.

Last week during an intuitive energy session with a client an “angel”  appeared in my office bringing a spiritual message.

Because I am clairvoyant and clairaudient the message came through loud and clear.

The angel said to me, “tell her she saw me and I am real.”

I had no idea what “he” meant but it felt as if he was standing in the room with us.

So after the energy session she sat up on the table and I asked her with a straight face, “have you met anyone out of the ordinary lately?”

I didn’t know how else to phrase it.

She began laughing and said, “you’ll never believe this but yesterday I was in Whole Foods and saw a man dressed in white pants, a blue sports coats wearing a huge pair of black sunglasses.  He looked like he was from a movie!  I told myself, ‘he must be an angel’ but as I got closer to him he disappeared into thin air. I couldn’t believe my eyes.”

Her and I looked at each other in disbelief and then began to laugh.

Apparently angels come and go as they please.

So there you go.

The mind is a powerful thing. And chances are if your mind/spirit are not in alignment with your heart’s desire, you may be sabotaging your own experience. You can either use the vibration of fear as the motivator for your goals or the saboteur in what you desire to create.

Yes, moving through fear may be a daunting process because your “story” once had relevance but it no longer needs to be that way.

The acronym for FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real and beholds the energy to stifle your success especially when gone undetected.

This is why you gingerly approach new opportunities with eyes wide open and let your intuitive voice be your guide on how to proceed forward.

Be on the lookout on how God may show up in your life. This may be the small miracle you’ve been seeking. Wisdom can appear in a variety of ways such as: messages appearing on license plates, strangers on the street, songs on the radio or frost on the hood of a car.

Set your intention and open your heart to receive all that the Universe has to offer.

In these circumstances, I’d venture to say, that for the majority of “us”:  economic status, social values, whether you pray to God, a Higher Power or nothing at all, it doesn’t really matter, because chaos requires your inner Spirit to “step up” despite your PERSONAL beliefs.  During moments of devastation, reckoned with the overwhelming state of grief, the ever-evolving world is destined to transform right before your eyes, and your decision to help is based upon your heart’s inner calling and your willingness to be of service to others.

Regardless of it’s rescuing a living creature from the wrath of rising waters, digging trenches, throwing water onto burning timber, or hovering over a stranger and hauling their body to the hospital, God works through all of us; and in ways that you wouldn’t have imagined…until the situation presents itself.

Your choices matter. So however you’re spiritually, emotionally, physically or financially  connected for making a contribution in life:  your decisions make a impact on those around you.

If you shall ever feel alone in life, you’re not.  There are people ( and beyond) who love and care about you. But remember, during intense atrocities ridden with heartache and pain, darkness has the tendency to pervade the soul and drive you towards the feeling of despair, and this is when you behold the opportunity FOR A MIRACLE to occur, from within, as the Divine invites you to “work” against the challenge of fear. YOU are a Divine being, and VERY capable and stronger than any voice feeding any thought of doubt and insecurities. Keep the Faith.

You are loved. And you are never alone on this journey.

As I’m just beginning to “circle” around the lake, I passed this woman (and her cute doggie) and noticed that she was crying. My mind said “keep walking. It’s none of your business” but my heart said, “turn around and do something.” My soul won. I also figured if she didn’t want my help, then she’d say no and I’d carry on……not a big deal.

So I turned around and said, “I love your dog. Would you like to talk about something?” She replied, “No….that’s okay. Do you want to know what my sister did, and how she hurt my feelings?” And then our conversation began.

We talked about a lot of things, especially how you choose to give your power away to someone else, even family members, and there is always an opportunity for you to “stop the cycle” and stand up for yourself.

It’s seldom easy, but it can be done. By the time we made a complete circle around the lake, she was laughing and smiling and happy to be going brunch this afternoon. She told me she loved me, and I told her I loved her too. Two complete strangers. Don’t even know her name. There is always an opportunity to serve God, and the “sacred place” can look a million different ways when you’re open to it. God will lead, just learn how to follow.

I often share this particular story about one of the most difficult times in my life when I’m teaching a workshop or speaking at a live event. This experience isn’t something I’m proud of, but it was the catalyst that has landed me to where I am today—as a spiritual teacher, best-selling author, speaker and one of the happiest people I know. Looking back on this situation with the wisdom I’ve acquired since then, I could’ve handled this ordeal quite a bit differently—-and hindsight is always 20/20. So as my journey continues towards understanding how the spiritual laws of the Universe continue to govern our existence, I can honestly say that a Higher Power is generous when providing valuable experiences required to awaken our hearts, connect with our internal wisdom and heal our soul if we choose to do so.

What’s your Story??

We all have a “story” and there is value in your story because your story has assembled the life you’re living today; whether it be good, bad or the ugly. So in relying my personal thoughts, and with the utmost respect and humility, “You may not have been dealt the ideal ‘hand of cards’ throughout your life, but you do get to choose how you wish to play them from this day forward.” You can either use your history as a stepping stone to cultivate your success or you can permit your past to greatly influence your relationships, your career and your overall state of emotional health and well-being. History has the tendency to repeat itself; and unless you take the time to reflect, contemplate and heal; yes heal THYSELF, chances are, you will unconsciously fall back into habitual patterns of self-sabotage. It’s one thing to become cognizant of your behaviors and it’s another to connect with the seat of your soul and heal your life. “To know yourself is to heal Thyself.”

My Story: It’s time to “wake up!”

As I was unconsciously moving through the motions of life; unbeknownst to me, the Universe had other plans….

“I was driven to the edge of self-destruction only to awaken to the realization that the key to happiness, peace and success exists in who I decide to become.”

For 3 1/2 years, I was in a relationship with someone who was my greatest teacher. I learned everything that I wanted within a partnership and everything I didn’t. And then the day came when my soul was sick and tired of being sick and tired, and my life warranted a Divine intervention.

No doubt about it, I was forced to confront mastering the lesson of “Letting Go”—of EVERYTHING. I had NO THING in the external world that proved I was or would be successful, ever again. My circumstances were: the loss of my business, my pets, (except Trigger, my horse) and my relationship–all of which died (literally and figuratively) within a few months of each other and I was forced to practice a central concept in the Buddhist philosophy known as detachment.

As I was getting into the bathtub one morning my eyes caught my body’s reflection in mirror….and I stopped. I hesitated because it dawned on me that the image I was witnessing felt as if I was looking at a complete stranger. That’s right. It was my face, but somehow, someway, I wondered “Who is that person?” It was apparent that I’d forgotten who I was, what I stood for and how to speak my truth until…..

While sitting in the tub I began to feel a roaring fire beginning to brew in the pit of my stomach. My gut was twisting and turning and within minutes I felt myself being launched out of the water. It felt as if I were being pushed and the words that I had suppressed for years required a voice. I was on a mission to say something, not knowing what, but found myself marching upstairs to have a conversation with my boyfriend (now my ex.) I looked at him and said, “I’m leaving.” Short and simple, right? And he replied, “Great. I’ll help you pack your bags.” (Please allow me to add, this “grand finale” happened after years of endless arguments, tears and heartache. We were both finally aware that our relationship wasn’t meant to “go the distance” and our time was up!)

With my car packed and $10 bucks to my name, I drove away from my house and thought to myself, “Where in the hell am I going to go now?” Sure, I could have chosen to make a few phone calls and ask for help from family and friends, but this time I needed to figure out these  “issues” on my own and refocus on my priorities; but first, re-identify what those were!

I was mad. Mad at myself. Mad at my partner, but more importantly, I was mad at God because I felt like He no longer loved me. I’m not going to lie. I threw a temper tantrum and began to cuss and swear like nobody’s business as I was driving towards the city park to pitch a tent and spend the night. Did this life altering choice mean I’d be living “homeless” for a day, a month or a year, perhaps? I didn’t know—- but I was willing to take my chances and pay the consequences.

As the reality of being “homeless” began to set in….

I started to cry uncontrollably…

I pulled my car over to the side of the road ..…

The tears continued…

And then…

The energy in the car began to change. It felt as if the world had stopped spinning. Perfect stillness. The “essence” was soothing, dense and extremely Present—and a sense of peace rushed over my entire body…

I re-started my car and proceeded to drive forward….

A few seconds later…

A powerful Force took control of my steering wheel….

And within minutes, I found myself parked in front of a house that looked familiar, but unsure of whose it was.…

I walked to the front door and knocked…

A woman answered. And to my surprise it was my very first client in my healing business who had always told me, “If I ever needed a place to hang my hat, I’d always be welcome in her home.”

So there I was, in her house, and beginning my life over again…(for the 3rd time)

Sitting in a room with two twin beds I began having a conversation with God. I asked, “What can I do to change my life?”

And these instructions were undeniably conveyed:

1. You are going to take total responsibly for healing yourself and your life.
2. You are going to make peace with your past. You are going to see everyone as your teacher    and consciously apply the wisdom you’ve gained from each experience.
3. You are going to be grateful for your life.
4. And then, you are going to write a book and share your experiences.

Ugh…right???

I replied, “I’ll do it, but I need proof that I’m actually on the ‘right’ path. So here’s my request:”

1.To have my book placed on the shelves in the local book stores and Mile Hi Church.
2. To be on the bestsellers list.
3. To get Dr. Wayne Dyer’s endorsement.

So from “this” place of total surrender and a willingness to listen and act, I was able to consciously rebuild my life from the ground -up and the inside- out.

Did the process of working on myself and writing a book happen overnight? Heck no! It was a course in demonstrating Love, compassion, forgiveness, and kindness to myself and others; and then I was given the opportunity to press the “RINSE & REPEAT” button and do it over again and again!

To this day, I’ve finally come to the understanding that the cycle of healing never ceases, but the process may become less arduous when putting your ego aside and allowing God to lead.

During my healing transformation, I spent a lot of time being alone and became discerning on how I shared my time and energy. I allowed myself to “work” through the myriad of emotions that demanded attention; and from that point I was made well aware that filling any void with a quick fix was nonsense.

I began to change my life through facing my fears and shedding the light on every single one of those suckers! It was no secret that the emotions hidden deep within my subconscious mind were keeping me distant from the “things” that I truly desired for myself—-happiness, peace and inner freedom. Truth be told, there wasn’t anything fun about confronting myself in the mirror, but since then, the rewards (internally & externally) have been priceless— AND my “3 goals” have been accomplished.

So now, when a client comes into my office and says, “How do I change my life? My world is falling apart. My relationship is over. My business isn’t working,” whatever their story is— my response is, “Great. You are finally at a place in your life when you’re willing to listen to the sacred voice within your soul and honor yourself. Let’s get to work on healing YOU!”

So if you shall ever find yourself in the place of feeling “stuck” and/or hopeless and without a clue on where to begin, remember ….

We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” ~ Albert Einstein

Stop. Chill out. Command your mind to be silent. Breathe. It’s nearly impossible to hear Wisdom in the midst of chaos. And then…from a “space of calm,” ask for Guidance.

Trust that the Light will shine upon your next step…..

Be willing to take the next step…..

There isn’t a specific way to ask for Divine guidance. It’s an intimate conversation between you and God that begins within the truth of your heart and manifests itself into tangible evidence—and all in Divine timing. You will also be required to give up the desire to control external circumstances and be willing to discipline yourself to witness Grace in motion.

Regardless if your personal preference for calling upon Spiritual assistance is elicited from: God, archangels, guardian angels, spirit guides, or loved ones from the other side, trust the source of healing energy that’s bestowed upon you is a gift from God. NO THING or NO ONE is excluded from Divine healing and guidance, ever, as all forms of creation are significantly held within the arms of which it was created.

Years ago, I had a blue Persian cat named Essa. (Stories about her are also in my book.) She was quite the lady. She was mostly blind and deaf, but loved being pampered; and she was in my life to teach me numerous lessons.

Anyway, this story took place over Christmas break. My brother spent the holiday at my house, but when he left to return home, apparently, Essa darted out the door without him noticing.

When I came home later that afternoon, Essa was no where to be found. I didn’t have much time to look for her as I was on my lunch break but figured she’d be back that evening because she’d be hungry.

Well…that didn’t happen. And after 3 days of looking for her day and night, scouring the streets for her whereabouts I surrendered to the fact that she wasn’t coming home.

As I often do, when I find myself stumbling through life seeking answers during times of uncertainly, I sit down and get silent. I know myself well enough to know that I seldom receive solutions to my dilemmas when I work my brain into a frenzy of rational thinking. I allow Wisdom to arise through me as I immerse myself in the feeling of gratitude and surrender to, “Thy will be done,” —-and I follow the instructions that I’m being given as well as utilizing common sense.

It was 9pm, and in my last attempt to find her…I decided to do this:

Create a “Lost” flyer to paste on the community mailboxes. And while I was busy designing the sign, I remembered I’d read somewhere that if you call upon “the angels” and more specifically, Archangel Raphael (God’s healing messenger for healing and animals) well, anything can happen.

Hey! At this point, I had nothing to lose, so asked for Divine help in bringing Essa home. I focused my attention to be open for anything but expect nothing.

So after creating my black and white flyer, and with duct tape in hand to make darn sure “my sign” was going to securely stick to the metal mailboxes, I opened the door, took one step, and here comes Essa, nonchalantly walking in like nothing ever happened.

My response: Speechless. Dumbfounded. Awe-mazement…as I spoke many words of gratitude for bringing Essa home safely.

Angels amongst us….

During the lecture, one of the participants stood up to ask the question, “Why can’t I change my life? I’ve hired the best coaches. I’ve read all the best spiritual books. I’ve tried positive thinking but nothing works! I’m out of hope. My business sucks, my marriage is over, and to top it off, I crashed my motorcycle last week. So what can I do to fix my life??”

In that moment, it was clear to me that this man was experiencing a tremendous amount of pain while also knowing he was in the midst of a personal transformation. Whether he wanted to face this cold reality or not, he was being given the Divine opportunity to master inner aspects of himself that were manifesting in his external world. This was his golden opportunity to “dig” deep into the vastness of his heart and to willingly grow as a spiritual being having a human experience, and heal his life from the inside out.

I could feel this man’s angst. I know because I’ve been there, too. There was a time when my life was a complete train wreck and there wasn’t anything comfortable about feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. But in retrospect, this was the “perfect storm” to become aware of the choices I was consciously or unconsciously creating. These were the moments to get brutally honest with myself, my life, and build an unwavering relationship with the Truth.

But before I responded to him, I took a deep breath, made eye contact and said, “You might want to sit down for this. I have an “out-of-the-box” encounter that I’d like to share you. Are you willing to have an open mind and listen?” He nodded yes and proceeded to sit.

I then said, “I may not have your answer but what I do know is this: When your life is no longer working for you, beating yourself up or pointing fingers ridden with guilt, anger and resentment is NEVER the answer. But what WILL raise you out of this conundrum is to add more “Light” to your unanswered questions and greatest fears.  In fact, add more authenticity. More integrity. More Unconditional Love. Add more God into everything. Choosing to pour these essential ingredients into your life will energetically shift the frequency of who and what you attract; therefore, changing the quality of your daily experiences.

****And… I would like to share with you a personal, mystical experience that was my “wake-up” call into knowing this.  During one of the darkest moments in my life, literally, I spent more time ruminating in fear and in victim mode than I did dwelling in Love and gratitude—-and my attitude was about to get an “Inspired” adjustment.****

This happened one morning while I sitting at the foot of my bed having one of my many conversations with God…. (Yes, I talk to God, all day, everyday)

God: Are you going to open the curtains this morning?

Me: Nope. I’m going to choose to sit in the dark.

God: Are you sure?

Me: Yes.

End of conversation.

I then stood up, took a shower, got dressed, walked down the stairs and out the front door.

8pm that evening:

I arrived at home after a long day of running in circles being a “chaotic busy body.” As I ventured up the stairs and into my bedroom, right before my eyes was an “Awe-inspiring Ta-Da” moment! Every light was turned on full-blast and beaming towards the middle of the room. Yes, I know, sounds crazy, huh? But God stopped me dead in my tracks and humbled me like no other.

Me: (In my best grumpy voice) “Really? What is this about?”

God: “We thought we would add light to your situation.”

End of story.”

This Magnificent experience was a game changer for me because I was being forced to shift my way of thinking, followed up with mindful actions. My given challenge was to shed more light where there was a shadow of a doubt. Period.

After I shared this story in the workshop, of course, there were a few participants who looked at me with a stare of disbelief; but then there were those who didn’t. The Light turned on.

As my mentor once told me, “Thank God for those of us who are cracked because we are the ones who let the Light in.”
