I love meeting people and listening to interesting stories. I also enjoy telling stories because I often find myself in  “out-of-the-ordinary” situations; therefore, if I can share my experience with another, who knows how it will come full circle in Divine time. 

 I do my best to be obedient to God’s voice and follow His guidance. And when I find myself needing to make one of two choices, I tune into my intuition and pray my way through the action I’ve chosen.  

I mean, when God gives instructions, I believe it’s best to move your feet.

Storytime!

In my opinion …

One of the most interesting places to meet people and have great conversations is in the sauna or cold plunge pool at the gym. You never know who you’re going to meet or what we’ll talk about. Regardless, it’s a joy to meet like-minded individuals working to improve ourselves from the inside out. 

A few weeks ago, a handful of us were sitting in the sauna, sweating and talking about the cold pool that had just been introduced to the gym.

To be honest, none of us were that excited about sitting in the 55 degree water for an extended period of time, but we’ve discovered that the aftereffects are life changing. 

Moreover ….

We were talking about life experiences and someone asked me if I’d ever cold plunged into a lake. I said, “Yes. But not intentionally.” Then I proceeded to share an adventure that happened years ago while walking around a lake with my dogs. It was the dead of winter and a stranger’s dog fallen through the ice, so I jumped in and brought him back to shore.

As my story telling in the sauna came to an end,  I headed out the door and playfully said, 

“No dog dies under my watch.” 

We all chuckled and parted ways. 

Weeks later….

I saw the couple in the sauna, again.  The gentlemen looked at me and said, “Hey. Are you the girl who told us the dog story a few weeks ago?!” 

I replied, “yes.” 

He said, “You’ll never guess what happened to us on our walk!?

This morning we took our dogs on the trail and a woman approaching us said, ‘Do you realize you’re being followed by three coyotes?!’ I turned around and sure enough a small pack of coyotes were stalking us. 

So I raised my hands and shouted at the top of my lungs. The coyotes scampered as fast as they could until a neighbor’s dog jumped out of his backyard and into the center of the pack. 

I immediately knew I had to do a something to save this dog!  So without hesitation, I unleashed my golden retriever and told her to ‘go get em!’

With no fear, my dog took off after the coyotes and the neighbor’s dog was able to get away and run to safety. 

My golden retriever barreled back to me with the biggest smile on her face. It’s as if she knew she’d saved a furry friend.

I looked at my wife and said, ‘no dog dies under my watch.’

We both smiled, laughed and thought of you. 

Thank you for sharing your story because it inspired us to do what we needed to do in our predicament.

Moral of the story …

When you need to “jump” into action for yourself or a friend, do so! And do it UN-afraid! Move ahead with conviction as if you KNOW you’re doing the “right” thing and trust the power of the Holy Spirit is running through your veins.

All in all….

Life is interesting, isn’t it? Kinda like we are walking each other home one step at a time. I also find it ironic how Divinely orchestrated this Universe is, and how we are designed to “show up” in each other’s lives to share a particular event that may impact someone’s future. 

Btw ….

Dog is spelled God backwards. So there’s that.

Of course the first day that I brought them home, they were fragrant and vibrant but as the week progressed, the flowers began to die. Or did they?

I was consciously made aware of this:

The flowers began to wilt as the petals began to perfectly fold back in the opposite direction. The freckles, now little ”spikes” were sharp (giving me the indication it was still necessary to be in “protection” mode) as the inner stem was growing upwards! Like an antenna. As if it was moving towards the stars. The Heavens. I guess this is why it’s called a stargazer.

So bringing this reflection back to “me/you” and life, itself……

1. In this human experience, it’s essential to continue developing and growing the “inner self” while focusing our energy towards the heavens.

2. “Speckle” your body with Light for protection.

Mother Nature is a beauty.

So when I got out of bed yesterday morning I thought to myself, “Ok God. How you gonna show up?” I even sent a text to my friend who sent me the video…

So as I was going about my day, I was on the lookout for God but didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary, except the 2 pennies I found at the gym on the locker room floor.

Well tonight on the way home from the gym, He showed up. I pulled my truck over just to take the picture.

And if you look closely it’s a double .

Always be on the lookout for Wonders of the universe.

PS. One more thing, this morning as I was walking into church this I noticed these 2 gold coins on the steps. Granted, they’re chocolate but nevertheless. I didn’t pick them up, tho. They had a few ants on them.

The body is a wise vehicle, as the subconscious mind has the tendency to tap into information before the conscious mind can verify the facts. The trick is being able to interpret the signs before you get too far off a “graceful” path.

I wanted to share with you a few intuitive insights that I often talk about during workshops or when clients come into my office. But please remember, a conversation about your health in my office is no substitute for seeing a medical professional.

In my experience, when a stressful situation presents itself, the body will react in one way or another: positively or negatively. And unfortunately if the body feels the” impression” to be negative, you may experience some sort of physical hinderance. BUT the Good news is, if the issue can be verbally communicated and the mind can create a “game plan” towards a solution, the physical ache/pain may dissipate if the pain hasn’t manifested into something greater.

So here are 5 cues that your body may be offering a warning light about your current state of well-being, and future!

Your Body’s Wisdom

Lower back pain- A sign that your body believes it’s in a FEARFUL situation. Or perhaps, you feel “paralyzed” about your current situation? (This may also be an indication you need to become MORE aware of your immediate surroundings).

Digestion issues- Having a hard time “stomaching” what’s going on in your life. (Don’t confuse this with your “gut” instinct.)

Knee pain- The body is throwing “caution to the wind” about walking forward in the direction you’re currently headed.

Cold/flu/bronchitis- Unresolved worry/grief is waining on your heart.
Foot issues- The Universe is trying to propel you forward but you’re dragging your heels or unsure of how/when to take the next step.

Like I mentioned this is a VERY SHORT summary of the factors that may wrecking havoc on your body according to what I’ve witnessed in the 16 years I’ve been working with clients.

A personal story:

A few weeks ago I personally experienced a series of aches and pains that were relevant signs about what was going to happen. The future. From blinking lights in my car, a blinding headache, and then noticing scattered shoes lying in the middle of the street, on 3 different occasions IN THE SAME DAY was a bit odd–but apparently not odd enough!! Anyway, this scenario was no doubt the Universe’s way of giving me a red stop sign. Now luckily nothing “bad” happened, just a life lesson in not locking my car door and paying the consequence of missing shoes and sunglasses that were taken from my backseat.

Hence, the Universe did provide me with insight though. I just chose not to listen.

So what signs have you been hearing from the Universe, lately? Remember these signs may be providing you with valuable Wisdom about the choices you’re making in the present moment, and for YOUR future!

There isn’t a specific way to ask for Divine guidance. It’s an intimate conversation between you and God that begins within the truth of your heart and manifests itself into tangible evidence—and all in Divine timing. You will also be required to give up the desire to control external circumstances and be willing to discipline yourself to witness Grace in motion.

Regardless if your personal preference for calling upon Spiritual assistance is elicited from: God, archangels, guardian angels, spirit guides, or loved ones from the other side, trust the source of healing energy that’s bestowed upon you is a gift from God. NO THING or NO ONE is excluded from Divine healing and guidance, ever, as all forms of creation are significantly held within the arms of which it was created.

Years ago, I had a blue Persian cat named Essa. (Stories about her are also in my book.) She was quite the lady. She was mostly blind and deaf, but loved being pampered; and she was in my life to teach me numerous lessons.

Anyway, this story took place over Christmas break. My brother spent the holiday at my house, but when he left to return home, apparently, Essa darted out the door without him noticing.

When I came home later that afternoon, Essa was no where to be found. I didn’t have much time to look for her as I was on my lunch break but figured she’d be back that evening because she’d be hungry.

Well…that didn’t happen. And after 3 days of looking for her day and night, scouring the streets for her whereabouts I surrendered to the fact that she wasn’t coming home.

As I often do, when I find myself stumbling through life seeking answers during times of uncertainly, I sit down and get silent. I know myself well enough to know that I seldom receive solutions to my dilemmas when I work my brain into a frenzy of rational thinking. I allow Wisdom to arise through me as I immerse myself in the feeling of gratitude and surrender to, “Thy will be done,” —-and I follow the instructions that I’m being given as well as utilizing common sense.

It was 9pm, and in my last attempt to find her…I decided to do this:

Create a “Lost” flyer to paste on the community mailboxes. And while I was busy designing the sign, I remembered I’d read somewhere that if you call upon “the angels” and more specifically, Archangel Raphael (God’s healing messenger for healing and animals) well, anything can happen.

Hey! At this point, I had nothing to lose, so asked for Divine help in bringing Essa home. I focused my attention to be open for anything but expect nothing.

So after creating my black and white flyer, and with duct tape in hand to make darn sure “my sign” was going to securely stick to the metal mailboxes, I opened the door, took one step, and here comes Essa, nonchalantly walking in like nothing ever happened.

My response: Speechless. Dumbfounded. Awe-mazement…as I spoke many words of gratitude for bringing Essa home safely.

The question is–> “How do you write a book?”

So here it is! I’m giving you everything that I know about this subject… Which isn’t much. So this post will be short and sweet! Writing a book is clearly not my forte but I figured out how to get it done… The hard way!!! (PS.. I’m not recommending this approach 110%)

But this is how I did it….

Step 1. One day I sat down, opened up my laptop and began typing…knowing that I was NOT going to stop until I was done. I refused to let myself “off the hook.” I held myself accountable, everyday.

Step 2. When I was finished writing the entire manuscript, I prayed about it, and asked God what to do next. And one night, I got out of bed at 3am and googled various words; including the word “editor.” And on page 5 of Google, I found someone who appeared as if he could help me…sent him an email…..and we were a match!!

Step 3. Found my cover designer on Craig’s list… (I prayed about it first, tho)

Step 4. Found a local publisher who put all of the “moving parts” together for me.

Step 5. Done! I’m off and running

That’s it!! Like I mentioned earlier, how I completed this project was definitely not the “norm” and possibly not for everyone. You will figure out which way works best for you

In addition, if you’re mission is to write your first book, my advice would be to seek out a “writer’s coach” and follow a structured path. If they have a proven, successful track record, there is something to be said for that… Listening is good!

And finally …. Everyday, someone asks me how I got Dr. Wayne Dyer’s endorsement….

And my answer is quite simple. I prayed about it. The wisdom came to me on how to find his address, what to say, and what color of envelope to send it in… And when I dropped my book off at the post office it, I detached from the entire process. And two weeks later, I received an email from Dr. Dyer along with his endorsement, and he told me that when he came to Denver he wanted to meet me in person. That’s it!!!! This “entire thing” was Divinely guided. And it wasn’t because I knew someone who knew someone, or I bought my way “there”.

I hope this post was inspiring and maybe even motivated you to “do whatcha gotta do” to make yourself happy.

 Over the weekend, I decided to sit through the latest rendition of this magical tale.  As I was being drawn into the life of a princess and the thought of never never land,  I heard “this” inspiring message that moves beyond living happily ever after.   

 You see, when Cinderella was a young girl, her mother passed away.  But prior to her death, she gave her daughter instructions on how to live her life.  She said, “Have courage and be kind.” 

 WOW! Imagine that! Have courage and be kind—Powerful words for building a magical kingdom based upon grace.

Courage is a necessary virtue when staring directly into the eyes of fear or embarking on an unpredictable venture.  The act of “being” courageous furthers your quest of internal exploration in gaining a deeper understanding of Self; and challenges you to heal unresolved hurts and move beyond limited perceptions with curiosity and an open-heart.  Courage is the binding agent that fortifies your vision with optimism, while remaining diligent when doing the task at hand.  

 As the famous quote states, “Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” — Lord Chesterfield

 It takes courage to apply unwavering strength in rising above today’s obstacles and making a life change.  It takes courage to be kind to people who may not have earned such a loving gesture.  And it takes courage to stand up and speak your truth, while setting an example for those who seem to need it the most.

 So, as your life candidly unfolds while traveling down your path in the pursuit of happiness—remember to demonstrate courage and to be kind. Deciding to BE BOLD when confronting your greatest challenge is a courageous action–hardly established by those with the faint of heart.  

With the inner knowing that you are a spiritual being having a human (and charming) experience, it’s possible to walk in faith; roar with courage; and have the awareness that each encounter is a stepping stone for uncovering the gift of being your Highest Self.  The simplest form of generosity may be the force of nature needed to transform another’s pit of darkness into a beacon of light; and in return, it may be the guiding factor in fulfilling your personal destiny. The choice is yours.  Exemplify magnificence in every situation; and trust that anything is feasible when you BELIEVE  in just a little bit of magic.

 Quiet your mind. Breathe deeply and BE grateful for what you have today.
