Last week I was invited to speak at a private healing retreat to give an “In-Spirit-ational” talk and teach a half-day workshop. As I prepared to share an array of pragmatic skills and/or techniques I’ve acquired from studying with gurus from around the world; I also have a clear understanding that often times during a conversation, I’ll be inspired to contribute a story about my “Extra-ordinary” teachings that have provided me with valuable insights.
During the lecture, one of the participants stood up to ask the question, “Why can’t I change my life? I’ve hired the best coaches. I’ve read all the best spiritual books. I’ve tried positive thinking but nothing works! I’m out of hope. My business sucks, my marriage is over, and to top it off, I crashed my motorcycle last week. So what can I do to fix my life??”
In that moment, it was clear to me that this man was experiencing a tremendous amount of pain while also knowing he was in the midst of a personal transformation. Whether he wanted to face this cold reality or not, he was being given the Divine opportunity to master inner aspects of himself that were manifesting in his external world. This was his golden opportunity to “dig” deep into the vastness of his heart and to willingly grow as a spiritual being having a human experience, and heal his life from the inside out.
I could feel this man’s angst. I know because I’ve been there, too. There was a time when my life was a complete train wreck and there wasn’t anything comfortable about feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. But in retrospect, this was the “perfect storm” to become aware of the choices I was consciously or unconsciously creating. These were the moments to get brutally honest with myself, my life, and build an unwavering relationship with the Truth.
But before I responded to him, I took a deep breath, made eye contact and said, “You might want to sit down for this. I have an “out-of-the-box” encounter that I’d like to share you. Are you willing to have an open mind and listen?” He nodded yes and proceeded to sit.
I then said, “I may not have your answer but what I do know is this: When your life is no longer working for you, beating yourself up or pointing fingers ridden with guilt, anger and resentment is NEVER the answer. But what WILL raise you out of this conundrum is to add more “Light” to your unanswered questions and greatest fears. In fact, add more authenticity. More integrity. More Unconditional Love. Add more God into everything. Choosing to pour these essential ingredients into your life will energetically shift the frequency of who and what you attract; therefore, changing the quality of your daily experiences.
****And... I would like to share with you a personal, mystical experience that was my “wake-up” call into knowing this. During one of the darkest moments in my life, literally, I spent more time ruminating in fear and in victim mode than I did dwelling in Love and gratitude—-and my attitude was about to get an “Inspired" adjustment.****
This happened one morning while I sitting at the foot of my bed having one of my many conversations with God…. (Yes, I talk to God, all day, everyday)
God: Are you going to open the curtains this morning?
Me: Nope. I’m going to choose to sit in the dark.
God: Are you sure?
End of conversation.
I then stood up, took a shower, got dressed, walked down the stairs and out the front door.
8pm that evening:
I arrived at home after a long day of running in circles being a “chaotic busy body.” As I ventured up the stairs and into my bedroom, right before my eyes was an “Awe-inspiring Ta-Da” moment! Every light was turned on full-blast and beaming towards the middle of the room. Yes, I know, sounds crazy, huh? But God stopped me dead in my tracks and humbled me like no other.
Me: (In my best grumpy voice) “Really? What is this about?”
God: “We thought we would add light to your situation.”
End of story.”
This Magnificent experience was a game changer for me because I was being forced to shift my way of thinking, followed up with mindful actions. My givenchallenge was to shed more light where there was a shadow of a doubt. Period.
After I shared this story in the workshop, of course, there were a few participants who looked at me with a stare of disbelief; but then there were those who didn’t. The Light turned on.
As my mentor once told me, “Thank God for those of us who are cracked because we are the ones who let the Light in.”
P. S. If you should ever find yourself sitting in a room full of darkness, the answer is: Turn on the Light. 🙂
** IN-Spirit-ational Story**
While I was on my walk this morning, the thought occurred to ask permission from a dear friend if it was okay with her if I shared her story on my FB page in a public forum. And her response, verbatim, “Absolutely ok with me!!!! I know how difficult this journey is so if it helps someone else…that is a gift that I can share.”
So my intention is that this experience may offer a sense of peace and solitude for those who may need healing and hope … along with the understanding that it may also “ruffle a few tail-feathers” and challenge particular belief systems. Either way, I trust in Divine timing and know that NO ONE is ever alone on this journey. With respect, Angela

A few months ago, *Mary’s 30 year old son suddenly passed away, in which, led her into my office for additional insight on death and transformation. Mary also wanted to know if her son was “ok” and mentioned that she would be traveling to spread his ashes over this past weekend (didn’t tell me where) and wanted to know if he would give her a sign that he was present. And my response was, “Yes. You will see a starfish with 3 rhinestones. He wants you to know that he is happy, healthy and is surrounded by Unconditional Love. All is well.” Moments later, she left my office …..
The following day she sent me this picture and message via text…..(photo available on my Facebook page)
“A beautiful day. *Michael was here as we celebrated. Within minutes of stepping off the plane I spotted the starfish!!!! As you said! Three rhinestones. We shared, cried and laughed. Michael is happy. Michael is home. You have helped me so much.”
Love never dies; it only transforms. Everyone, whether you are aware of it or not, is on a path to discover who you are at the core of your Being. Trust in the process and connect to the Source from which you were created. YOU are a Divine creation and the power to change your life is only a breath away….
I'm going to address a question that I frequently get asked as this question appears in my inbox at least 3 times per day and during all hours of the night 😬😬😬
The question is--> "How do you write a book?"
So here it is! I'm giving you everything that I know about this subject... Which isn't much. So this post will be short and sweet! Writing a book is clearly not my forte but I figured out how to get it done... The hard way!!! (PS.. I'm not recommending this approach 110%😉)
But this is how I did it....
Step 1. One day I sat down, opened up my laptop and began typing...knowing that I was NOT going to stop until I was done. I refused to let myself "off the hook." I held myself accountable, everyday.
Step 2. When I was finished writing the entire manuscript, I prayed about it, and asked God what to do next. And one night, I got out of bed at 3am and googled various words; including the word "editor." And on page 5 of Google, I found someone who appeared as if he could help me...sent him an email.....and we were a match!!
Step 3. Found my cover designer on Craig's list... (I prayed about it first, tho😉)
Step 4. Found a local publisher who put all of the "moving parts" together for me.
Step 5. Done! I'm off and running
That's it!! Like I mentioned earlier, how I completed this project was definitely not the "norm" and possibly not for everyone. You will figure out which way works best for you 😊
In addition, if you're mission is to write your first book, my advice would be to seek out a "writer's coach" and follow a structured path. If they have a proven, successful track record, there is something to be said for that... Listening is good!
And finally .... Everyday, someone asks me how I got Dr. Wayne Dyer's endorsement....
And my answer is quite simple. I prayed about it. The wisdom came to me on how to find his address, what to say, and what color of envelope to send it in... And when I dropped my book off at the post office it, I detached from the entire process. And two weeks later, I received an email from Dr. Dyer along with his endorsement, and he told me that when he came to Denver he wanted to meet me in person. That's it!!!! This "entire thing" was Divinely guided. And it wasn't because I knew someone who knew someone, or I bought my way "there".
I hope this post was inspiring and maybe even motivated you to "do whatcha gotta do" to make yourself happy.
As Above, So Below
"Tis true without lying, certain and most true. That which is below is like that which is above and that which is above is like that which is below.” – Isaac Newton
If you are wanting to transform your life, then it's imperative to elevate your level of consciousness and become aware of the consistency of your thoughts that you're allowing pervade through your mind. As it has been proven time and time again; energy becomes matter and thoughts create things.
The power to transform your life is to BE mindfully present in the Presence of the moment. The here and now. It's truly the only moment that you honestly beget the power to control --or change. By choosing to take personal responsibility for the quality of experiences you desire to attract, then, without exception, you must hold yourself accountable for the energy that is expressing itself through you at all times.
If you personally know me or have read my book, you would know that my daily life’s adventures are anything but the “norm.” At times, I even say “WTF” and doubt the obvious. But then, I re-focus and know that this is how my world “rolls.” So I get over it, get into the flow of life, and enjoy the ride. And quite honestly, I love it! I never know what to expect; but I trust it’s always for the greater good. Furthermore, I know that my purpose is to share these inspirational stories with anyone who wants to listen. My intention is that they may offer a glimmer of hope, be a source of motivation or stimulate a laugh. And I’m finally at the stage in life when I don’t take things so personally (but, hey…I’m still work in progress.) My mom always told me that my big mouth may get me into trouble someday, and… she was correct! I loved that woman! :)}
“My Daily MOJO”
Before I get out of bed in the morning, I do my best to remember to say, “God, please show me how/where you want me to be of service today”…and then I listen, and pay attention to where I’m being directed. No matter what, I trust that I’ll be guided throughout the day. I also know, from personal experience, that whatever or whoever “shows up” is a reflection of me. And the Universe never ceases to amaze me.
A few days ago, I walked into a coffee shop to eat, drink and write; and randomly sat next to a gentleman who was preparing for a job interview. We struck up a conversation and I began asking him questions that his future employer may ask, such as: “What can you do for me? What are your skill sets? Why should I hire you?” I also mentioned that when he walks into his interview he needs to be confident and “KNOW his $h%T!!" Own it!! And try not to come from a place of ego and entitlement. To be driven by his soul and being of service to others. And through setting this intention, doors may open unlike anything his mind could have ever imagined.” He replied, “Yes, ma’am” and gave me a big hug. I, then, ended the conversation with, “Be yourself and whatever happens, happens," and walked out…
So today, I walked into a different coffee shop --and who was sitting there??? Yep! You guessed it! The same dude I met two days prior!! (I know…do- do- do- do.) I approached him to ask if he had gotten the job. He looked down, “Nope. They didn’t hire me. I have every qualification. I have the experience. They need to hire 75 people. I’m a hard worker. I love people. I just don’t understand what I did wrong. I needed this job so badly.” And then he began going into his “story” of why he didn’t get the job and started coming up with reasons why they didn’t hire him.
And then these words fell out of my mouth. (I couldn’t help myself.)
I said, “Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. If you are going to make up a story about why you didn’t get the position, it needs to sound a helluva lot better than the one I'm hearing right now! The truth is is that the “perfect” situation will come along at the right time. God didn’t want you to have that job or you would have gotten it! And maybe, just maybe, He has something better in store for you. More money. Better work environment, etc. And besides, this situation may be your lesson in patience---and a negative attitude isn’t going to get you anywhere.” He sat down and replied, “You’re right. God has a bigger, better plan for me. I’m going to trust in that. “OK good”, I said. And then I continued to spill coffee all over the table… (yeah, that was awesome)
One minute later (and I’m not exaggerating) his phone rang. It was someone he’d interviewed with over a month ago and they had finally gotten around to calling him to say, “He made the cut. He got the job!” I could barely believe my ears either, and yes, I was listening.
He got off the phone, looked at me and said, “They want me to be there at 11am today. This is unbelievable. I have no words. This is my dream job!” And I said, “Yep. There are no words. So count your blessings and get your butt there on time. “ I was so happy for him that I began crying!!
He asked, “Before I go, can we say a prayer together?” I said, “Absolutely! I’ll take every prayer that I can get!”
It was truly one of those experiences that I’ll never forget. This situation added more validation on how the unexpected can “show up” when you’re open to infinite possibilities and can get out of your own way. Fun stuff!! Namaste 🙂
"God gave us two hands. One to receive with, and the other one to Give." ~ Billy Graham
Based on the In-Spirit-ational work that I get to do, I often hear extraordinary stories from clients who are looking for a bit of insight about their current situation. Many of the stories are unforgettable, heart-wrenching, and loving moments in time when I even say, “WOW! Holy Smokes!! Really??!!”
I wanted to share with you a story about a man and his dog. This is proof of how our beloved animals are not only reliable companions, but spiritual messengers and healers. They invite us to take a deeper look into our own hearts and examine the energy we may be subconsciously projecting to the world around us. Animals are highly sensitive creatures and have been given instincts for a reason. To keep them safe!!! Like you and me, we all want to feel safe, secure and unconditional love.
Animals have the uncanny ability to teach us how to better master ourselves through demonstrating acts such as: trust, detachment and unconditional love. Animals also have the tendency to mirror our deep- seated wounds, pain and unresolved hurts that may be standing in the way of living a life of inner freedom and happiness. If you choose to take the time to truly connect with your four- legged friend, you may find the wisdom you are seeking; and insight on how to resolve a daunting situation. When you are ready to become aware and listen to the spiritual messengers that are always guiding you in the direction of knowing yourself, you behold authentic power and the necessary ingredients to heal your life from the inside-out. It’s true. Anything is possible when you are willing to expand your mind, open your heart, and feel the source of unconditional love.
I share this story with you for various reasons. First of all, I am an animal lover. And secondly, my passion and purpose is to help others make successful choices and offer inspirational insights on how to move forward. [For obvious reasons, the names in this story have been changed to maintain the integrity and privacy for all who are concerned.]
One afternoon, a gentleman named Darin came into my office for an intuitive consulting session for his 3 year old, 160 lbs., beautiful gray, great dane, Max. Max glowed with a kind, happy-go-lucky spirit and savored the attention from anyone who was willing to acknowledge his presence. He proved to be intelligent beyond his own good and quickly acquired the label of being a “high-maintenance problem child.” You see, Max had severe anxiety issues and hated to be left alone; even for a short period of time. For example: When Darin resigned Max to his doggie crate, (because he couldn’t be trusted otherwise) he would bark uncontrollably, and repeatedly spin in circles, until he would tip the crate over (with him in it) and break the door wide open. And then… veraciously proceeded to chew holes through the drywall, in hopes of burrowing his way to find his favorite human. It was no secret. This dog had been severely traumatized in numerous ways: including experiencing the underlying pain of lack of love and no stability. Throughout his journey, Max had continuously been tossed around from one family to the next, living in a total of 5 foster homes, until finally, one day, he was taken in by an owner who was willing to cater to his needs and give him a forever place to stay.
Undeniably, Max was shown unconditional love by his new owner. It came in the form of constant attention, daily walks, car rides and he was a regular client at doggie day care. But because Max’s behavior was getting to become costly: emotionally, physically and financially, Darin was at “odds” with what-to-do next. He thought that putting Max “to sleep” (euthanizing him) might be his only option for eliminating Max’s internal struggle and irrational behavior. Granted, this decision was not taken lightly, therefore; Darin was willing to give Max any chance he could before scheduling the final vet appointment.
The day Darin brought Max into my office to ask for inspired advice, my stomach twisted and turned when I heard about this dilemma. I wanted so badly to say something that would inevitably change Max’s destiny, but I was unsure of what that would be.
As we sat, conversing about the obvious, I was rubbing Max’s belly---and my intuition “hit” me like a ton of bricks! The real reason why Darin was sitting in front of me wasn’t because of Max! Max was only the catalyst to get Darin into my office. The issue remained with Darin ---and Max was sent to help his human friend heal various aspects of his life. Max was unintentionally shedding “light” (no pun intended) on his owner’s unresolved issues. The underlying pain of never belonging and abandonment Darin had faced throughout his entire life was finally being brought to the surface. Make no mistake, this unresolved issue was yearning to be thoroughly addressed, healed and released. It was all part of the Divine plan.
When I talked with Darin about the intuitive insight I received about their relationship, his eyes began to swell and tears began streaming down his face. He was experiencing the pain that had been suppressed for years, and now he was being given the opportunity to heal the past in the present moment.
I’ve often heard those who have rescued homeless animals say, “ I was the one who was actually being saved,” …and after hearing this statement, it seems to hold true in this instance, as well. The significance between this man and his dog seemed almost unreal.
So, as this life coaching session was coming to a close, Darin asked what should the next steps be to help Max find peace considering the circumstances. And my advice was, “With all your heart, empathize and have compassion for Max. And while you are doing this, empathize and have compassion for the boy within you. The one who was once neglected years ago. This experience is being brought to your consciousness so that you can heal yourself; and heal Max at the same time.” I also offered this suggestion, “Give Max one more week. And if the situation doesn’t change, then follow your heart when determining Max’s fate.” Darin replied, “Okay, and walked out.”
Fast- forward two days.
Every week I volunteer for hospice. But before we begin with the day’s activities, a few of us discuss the highlights of the week. (PS. There are no coincidences in life).
As we were sharing our thoughts, one woman said, “I have a story,” and everyone's ears perked up to listen! She said, “My neighbor owns a doggie day care and had the strangest thing happen to her today. One of her favorite clients, this beautiful gray, great dane was standing at the top of a staircase, but missed taking the first step; and unfortunately tumbled to his death. He shattered the bones in his hind legs and the fractures were unrepairable. They were forced to put him down, immediately. The owner was devastated and said, ‘I have just lost my best friend and one of the greatest teachers in my life.’ “
Yes. This is Max’s story and how these extraordinary circumstances prevented Darin from having to make the unbearable decision of putting him “to sleep.”
Honestly, I could barely believe the story myself. What were the chances of me hearing about my client, who literally came into my office 2 days prior in a completely unrelated environment!?? I was shocked and speechless. But at that precise moment, an expanded view of the “bigger picture” became obvious to me. Max’s desire to leave his physical body was irrefutable. In addition, he no longer wanted to cause his master further stress, heartache or pain. So, Max decided to take it upon himself and place his destiny into his own paws.
Needless to say, the following day, I received a phone call from Darin verifying the information I’d already known to be true about the death of Max.
In the end, Max remained a forever loyal companion as he demonstrated in this message so clearly: No relationship in life is ever a one-way street. We are ALL here to guide, inspire and empower each other (and the lives of furry critters) in the best way we know how. And the Divine blessing was that Darin and Max were given the opportunity of being brought together in order to heal similar wounds; and given the wherewithal to recognize the meaning behind the gift of giving and receiving unconditional love. You, too, can heal your life and be of assistance to those around you. Anything is possible when you add a big dose of LOVE! Love can and will heal any man, woman or pet’s heart with a little bit of effort and a lot of soul.
P.S. If you enjoyed this story, please help me share this message with your friends and family. Forward, Like, share, tweet, pin, or "send it through the airwaves."
Namaste, Angela 🙂
I’ve always been fascinated with the classical fairy tale of Cinderella. Maybe it’s because as a 6th grader, I was chosen to play the lead role of being Cinderella in the school play; or perhaps it’s because I love the idea of enchanted castles and being swept away by prince charming. Regardless of whether or not these moments in time do come true—love, hope and happiness is the stuff dreams are made of.
Over the weekend, I decided to sit through the latest rendition of this magical tale. As I was being drawn into the life of a princess and the thought of never never land, I heard “this” inspiring message that moves beyond living happily ever after.
You see, when Cinderella was a young girl, her mother passed away. But prior to her death, she gave her daughter instructions on how to live her life. She said, “Have courage and be kind.”
WOW! Imagine that! Have courage and be kind—Powerful words for building a magical kingdom based upon grace.
Courage is a necessary virtue when staring directly into the eyes of fear or embarking on an unpredictable venture. The act of “being” courageous furthers your quest of internal exploration in gaining a deeper understanding of Self; and challenges you to heal unresolved hurts and move beyond limited perceptions with curiosity and an open-heart. Courage is the binding agent that fortifies your vision with optimism, while remaining diligent when doing the task at hand.
As the famous quote states, “Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” — Lord Chesterfield
It takes courage to apply unwavering strength in rising above today’s obstacles and making a life change. It takes courage to be kind to people who may not have earned such a loving gesture. And it takes courage to stand up and speak your truth, while setting an example for those who seem to need it the most.
So, as your life candidly unfolds while traveling down your path in the pursuit of happiness—remember to demonstrate courage and to be kind. Deciding to BE BOLD when confronting your greatest challenge is a courageous action--hardly established by those with the faint of heart.
With the inner knowing that you are a spiritual being having a human (and charming) experience, it’s possible to walk in faith; roar with courage; and have the awareness that each encounter is a stepping stone for uncovering the gift of being your Highest Self. The simplest form of generosity may be the force of nature needed to transform another’s pit of darkness into a beacon of light; and in return, it may be the guiding factor in fulfilling your personal destiny. The choice is yours. Exemplify magnificence in every situation; and trust that anything is feasible when you BELIEVE in just a little bit of magic. 🙂
If you happen to find yourself getting caught up in the fear of the unknown, remind yourself to slow down, take a deep breath and feel the rhythm of your heart.
Your heart knows the truth. The truth that you have everything you need. YOU are whole, wise and wealthy beyond measure.
Stop. Center yourself and allow the beat of your "drum" to guide you in a clear direction when taking the next step. You don't need to know the "big picture" of what your life is suppose to BE, but you will know how to take the next step in divine time.
Quiet your mind. Breathe deeply and BE grateful for what you have today.
If I can share a piece of inspirational advice about personal transformation, I’d offer these words of encouragement: “Know Thyself.” What is your modus operandi? How do you behave when no one else is looking? What consistent thoughts pervade through your mind?
What you believe is to be the truth about yourself (and life in general) the external world will magnify your ideals and attract to you your belief system. Therefore; if you desire to transform your life then it's essential to "dig deep" into your heart of heart’s and from the core of your being, graciously begin to uncover the sabotaging thoughts and behaviors that may be impeding a vibrant future. Without a doubt, the emotional baggage you've harbored for years has a way of rising to the surface when you least expect it and before you know it, you've manifested your "new" reality. But this is the moment your soul has been waiting for! This is the time for transformation and a pivotal point in your life to heal from within!! You are standing on the precipice of change and are being called to transpose the inner chaos into a powerful beacon of light. You are a spiritual being having a human experience and your mission is to love and accept ALL OF YOU —excluding NO THING.
There is a fine art to mastering yourself---and no one ever said this transformational process would be easy. You'll have to desire change through pulling yourself up by the boot straps and move forward with integrity, compassion and gratitude for all that you've encountered. The negative, critical mind chatter will have to cease and from this point, you'll slowly begin embracing the path of healing your life.
So when you are ready to climb into your "nicely-packed" emotional closet and set yourself free from perpetual judgments and self-limiting beliefs— you'll be well on your way to knowing happiness and inner peace. As the Universal Law states, “As within, so without.”
Understand this: The energy that emanates from your heart creates a ripple effect and impacts those around you. When you “lighten the load” of emotional heartache and start to notice how miracles appear to help you heal your soul, you'll be well on your way to owning your personal Power and creating a life that you Love!
If you would like help transforming through your spiritual and emotional blocks, please connect with me through my website and Let's do it!!
"Self confidence, self-esteem, strength, and courage is NOT given to anyone. It is earned through self-reflection, growing-up, confronting your own inner demons..and taking ownership of healing YOUR life. True success is attained through realising your own Divinity; rising above the false sense of Self, and demonstrating compassion to those who need it the most. Life isn't easy…but you can choose on how you are going to "show up" for yourself, as well as, for others."
